My approach to documentation is grounded in the Diátaxis framework, with a focus on clarity, usability, and real-world application. I create practical, step-by-step workflows, supported by visuals, that help users complete tasks quickly without wading through unnecessary detail.
I prioritize consistency across documentation, ensuring content aligns with brand standards while remaining easy to navigate. Documentation is continuously updated alongside product releases, with accurate release notes and content that reflects new features and changes.
I also incorporate FAQs to support self-service, helping users find answers quickly while reducing support overhead.
Work Samples
Below are samples of my work from companies with publicly available documentation. For Adlumin, I’ve included examples of public blog content, as user documentation is private. SpyCloud’s documentation is also restricted to customers and cannot be shared.

Blog Posts and Articles For Adlumin
The user guide for the Adlumin Security Operations Platform is private, therefore I cannot post samples here. However, there are public blog posts that I have written in collaboration with Adlumin’s Threat Research team, and the Managed Detection and Response (MDR) team.
I write these blog posts to garner media attention to Adlumin’s products and the company. Having a journalist background has helped me write in a way that calls the attention of news editors, so with every post I’ve written, news outlets have picked up what I’ve written.

User Documentation for CodeHunter
I created the user documentation for CodeHunter, as well as implemented the use of an online knowledge base for easier user access. The user documentation is public and can be accessed here.

Newspaper Articles
I’ve written over 1,000 news articles from 2005 to 2016. I worked as a staff writer for Gannett-USA Today and GateHouse Media in New Mexico and Delaware. Unfortunately, many of my older articles have been archived, but a few remain accessible and have been aggregated by Muck Rack, click here.
Aside from newspaper articles, I’ve also produced dozens of radio news stories for various outlets. Radio was how I was introduced to journalism. I began doing community reporting in Washington, D.C. through WPFW 89.3 FM, then later for FSRN where I was given the opportunity to work at the U.S. Capitol for one year.
Below are a couple of reports I produced for radio.
1. Seafood packing industry in Mississippi struggling due to the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Includes a one-minute story background by the news host.
2. Locals in Wilmington, Delaware are working to combat urban decay and poverty.
